Another inspiring point that Judy mentioned is that you don't have to ingest the plant in order to receive its nurturing properties. Making a basket out of willow bark, or simply sitting with a plant's energy can be a healing activity.
Judy combined herbs with olive oil, let it sit for 48 hrs, and then strained the herbs out. She then heated the infused oil with bees-wax in order to create a salve.
Judy pours the salve into a jar. Remember not to put the lid on until the liquid completely hardens.
